Rebecca C. Wickert

I am Rebecca Wickert, a creator, director, and performing artist in the Twin Cities. I hold a BA in Theater Arts, Performance Creation, from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. As a theater artist, my work is centered in physical acting and movement inspired by avant-garde and experimental theater. I often combine performance styles to create interdisciplinary work and am driven by collaboration. My passion is creating generative, thought-provoking spectacles for the modern audience.

In the rehearsal room, I practice the Margolis Method, a dynamic approach to acting based on the universal principles of physics and communication. This new, innovative method inspires me because it organically synthesizes vital connections between the physical, intellectual, and intuitive while merging muscular expression.
